We exist to communicate the beauty of the Archetype
to all creation.

The Archetype is...

the will of the Father.

WHO WE ARE

Church Pillars

We are orthodox in doctrine.

Our worship and theology are creedal and directed toward the triune God.

We are joined to the ancient church.

Our worship and reading of Scripture happen in dialogue with early Christian thought and practice.

We are a spirited community.

Our worship and our lives are attuned to the dynamic and active presence of the Risen Jesus. He encounters us, unifies us, and speaks to us by the power of the Holy Spirit.

OUR CREED

What We Believe

Archetype Church is a non-denominational Christian congregation grounded in the liturgical, theological, dogmatic, and ministerial traditions of the ancient and historic Christian faith of the one Holy catholic (universal) and apostolic church as revealed in the Holy Scriptures and as confessed in the Nicene Creed.

Ray Robles Headshot 2.jpg

Dr. Ray Robles

Teaching Pastor | Senior Leader

Ray Robles is a pastor, author, and vocational theologian who teaches at Grand Canyon University. Ray grew up in California’s Central Valley and has a rich family heritage of service to God and the Church. His maternal grandfather planted and pastored an Assemblies of God congregation in Hughson, California for over 30 years; his paternal grandfather evangelized in Puerto Rico and California. Since his youth, Ray has served the Church in some capacity; however, in 2010 he felt God call him to full-time ministry and teaching. He finished his undergraduate education, then went on to pursue his Master of Theological Studies at Pentecostal Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tennessee. He holds a PhD in Theology from Bangor University in Wales, United Kingdom. Ray is passionate about the early church’s thought, life, and worship practices and integrates them as life-giving rhythms of formation for the church today. He is experienced in training bishops, pastors, and worship leaders both in the US and abroad. Ray lives in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife, Christina, their son, Marlon, and has a baby girl on the way!

Christina Headshot 2.jpg

Christina Robles, M.Ed.

Church Administrator | Senior Leader

Christina grew up in Northern California and attributes her very roomy picture of God to her upbringing amongst family members of different faith expressions. She attended Catholic mass regularly as a child with her mother and developed a deep love for the cadence of liturgy, the beauty of the art and hymns, and the solemnity of service. Christina’s paternal grandfather was very involved in his local Jewish synagogue, and as such, she was also brought into a different world of faith that was extremely embodied and ancient. As a teenager, Christina encountered the Lord very deeply and has been learning about his goodness and character ever since. Christina received her Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling and served as a high school counselor in Nevada, Texas, and Arizona over the span of nine years. She loves living in beautiful Phoenix with her husband, Ray, and son, Marlon. They are excited to welcome a baby girl into the family this February!

Logan Kalous Headshot_edited_edited.jpg

Logan Kalous

Archetype Intern

Logan grew up in eastern Iowa and has known the Lord since childhood. She credits much of her growth in faith to her mother’s discipleship. She was raised within a non-denominational context and attended an Assemblies of God church in high school. It was there she began to be closely mentored and discipled, learning much about leadership in the church, living a life of worship, and operating in the prophetic. As soon as she was old enough she volunteered in children’s ministry, and has since enjoyed serving all ages from infant to high school. In 2019 she received her call to vocational ministry and in faith moved to the Phoenix valley in 2021. She graduated from GCU with a BA in Christian Studies and is currently pursuing her Master of Divinity at Grand Canyon Theological Seminary. Throughout her education she has found a deep appreciation for church history, orthodox practices, and the many implications of being connected to the body of our Risen Christ.
